Republic Day speech 2024

Hello hello!!!! Mike testing 1, 2, 3, 4 everyone can hear me ok so let’s get started…

Good morning respected teachers, seniors, and my dear friends,

As you all know that we have gathered here to celebrate republic Day.

I want to deliver a speech on Republic Day to make this great festival a memorable one for me.

Today we all have come here to celebrate the 75th Republic Day of our nation. India gained independence from 15 August 1947, which is celebrated as Independence Day, and the Constitution came into force on 26 January, which is celebrated as Republic Day.

The Constitution of India was passed on 24 November 1947 in the Constituent Assembly of India. But the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950, so we celebrate 26 January every year as Republic Day of India, and 24 November as Constitution Day.

Republic means the people living in the country get full freedom and full right to elect their representatives as a political leader to take the country in the right direction.

Therefore, India is a republic country and the Indian constitution provides its fundamental rights to the people. The Constitution of India gives us the freedom to choose our Prime Minister, MLA and corporator etc.

Our great Indian freedom fighters have fought a lot to get back our freedom. They have fought so that their future generation can live without struggle and take the country forward.

The names of our great freedom fighters and Indian leaders are Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Lala Lajpat Rai, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Lal Bahadur Shastri etc.

He fought against the British rule to get freedom for India. No one can ever forget his sacrifice for the country.

On this occasion we always remember him and salute him. We got this freedom because of him. It is because of their struggle that we can live freely in our nation today.

India’s first President Dr. Rajendra Prasad once said that it is a matter of great sadness that we have got freedom, but we are still fighting caste, crime, corruption and violence. We have to move towards Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat.

Now I am going to conclude my speech, thank you all for being here and making this program a success.

Republic Day Speech in English

Hello hello!!!! Mike testing 1, 2, 3, 4 everyone can hear me ok so let’s get started…

Good morning respected teachers, seniors, and my dear friends,

As you all know that we have gathered here to celebrate republic Day.

After centuries of subjugation, India became independent on 15th August, 1947.

After independence, the leaders of the country implemented the new Constitution of India. Since then the supreme ruler of India is called the President.

The new Constitution of India was implemented on January 26, 1950 and this day was called the Republic Day of India.

India was declared a republic according to this Constitution and since then 26 January started being celebrated every year as Republic Day with great pomp all over India.

The date of 26 January has its own special significance in the history of the freedom struggle.

In 1930, in the Lahore session of Congress on the banks of river Ravi, Late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru declared complete independence.

On 26th January, 1930, he pledged that “Our freedom movement will continue until we achieve complete independence and we will sacrifice our lives to achieve it.

“That is why 26th January was chosen as the day for the declaration of the Republic of India.

On 26th January, 1950, India was declared a fully republican state. On this day we became completely independent. That day, Dr. Rajendra Prasad became the first President of our nation in place of Lord Mountbatten (Governor General).

Even today this festival is celebrated with great pomp. On this day, the President’s state procession is taken out in the capital of India, New Delhi. President at Vijay Chowk, Army, Navy and Air Force

Folk dancers from many provinces present their ancient culture and progress in their respective costumes, performing their folk dances and various types of tableaux.

Fireworks are released on the evening of 26th January and government buildings are illuminated at night. Meetings are held in all the villages, towns, schools and colleges of the country.

In these meetings, pledge is taken to maintain the unity, integrity and independence of the country.

Thus, on 26th January, 1950, when the country had its own Constitution, its own President, its own government and its own national flag, India became the largest republic in the world.

Now I am going to conclude my speech, thank you all for being here and making this program a success.
